Katahdin Sheep and Lambs Our flock of Katahdin sheep are 100% grass fed. They are moved to new pasture daily from April to November and fed organic hay in the non-grazing months. Katahdin meat is very mild compared to other breeds of sheep. Those who are wary of the strong flavor of lamb and mutton are often pleasantly surprised when treated to Katahdin meat.
